William Davol was living at Newport, R.I. in 1681. (Austin's "Genealogical Dictionary of Rhode
Isand") He had four sons:
John Davol b. 24 Jan. 1643, d. July 1643
Joseph Davol b.? d. Feb. 1716, m. (1) Mary Brayton, (2) Elizabeth ? (3) Emily ? b. 1685 d. 1712
(as per old burial ground at Stonington Conn.) (4) Elizabeth , ? d. after 1716 and three children.
Benjamin Davol, Austin's Genealogy says he married Elizabeth Peabody but E. Russel Davol,
Taunton, Mass. (1931) says that New Jersey records show that Benjamin had a wife, Judith in
1693.
*JONATHAN DAVOL, b. Dartmouth, Mass. or Newport, RI was living 1737. He married (1)
Hannah Adby b. 1602 d. 18 Dec. 1685 (Adlin, Audlyn, Audley, Odlin) Dau. of John Odlin and
Martha Spooner Wing of Rochester Mass.
