In 1985, the family moved to Bath, Pennsylvania, where Cindy attended
Northampton Senior High School and lived for many years in both Bath and
Allentown.
Cindy first came to New York City in June of 1994, after moving from Tampa,
Florida. Her pursuit of higher education saw her attending Tampa University, and
once in New York, NYU and Columbia University.
At the time of this tragedy, Cindy was living in Brooklyn, New York with her
husband Tomas Pons. She is survived by her mother Pat Kocian who resides in
Albrightsville PA, her father Joseph Deuel, who resides in Saylorsburg PA, her
brother Joey Deuel who resides in Pennsylvania, and her brother Richard Deuel,
who resides in California.
